Peer Review Process
International Journal of Social Sciences, Language and Linguistics
Overview
The journal follows a rigorous, transparent, and internationally recognized peer review system designed to ensure the highest standards of academic quality, originality, and ethical integrity. All submitted manuscripts undergo an impartial evaluation by qualified experts in the relevant field.
Review Model
The journal implements a double-blind peer review process, wherein both the identities of the authors and reviewers are concealed to ensure objectivity and eliminate bias during the evaluation process.
Step-by-Step Review Process
Upon submission, each manuscript is assessed by the editorial office for scope alignment, formatting compliance, plagiarism check, and adherence to journal guidelines.
Manuscripts are screened using advanced plagiarism detection tools. Any violation of publication ethics results in immediate rejection or return for correction.
Suitable manuscripts are assigned to an Associate Editor with relevant subject expertise who oversees the review process.
At least two independent reviewers with subject expertise are invited to evaluate the manuscript based on originality, methodology, contribution, clarity, and relevance.
Reviewers provide detailed, constructive, and unbiased feedback, including recommendations:
- Accept without revision
- Minor revision
- Major revision
- Reject
Based on reviewers’ reports, the editorial board makes the final decision. In case of conflicting reviews, additional expert opinion may be sought.
Authors are required to address all reviewer comments point-by-point and resubmit the revised manuscript within the stipulated timeframe.
After satisfactory revision and approval, the manuscript is formally accepted for publication.
Ethical Standards
The journal strictly adheres to international publication ethics as defined by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). All parties involved in the peer review process are expected to maintain confidentiality, impartiality, and academic integrity.
Confidentiality Policy
All submitted manuscripts are treated as confidential documents. Reviewers are prohibited from sharing, discussing, or using any part of the manuscript for personal or professional advantage.
Transparency and Quality Assurance
The journal is committed to maintaining transparency in its peer review system. Regular audits and reviewer evaluations are conducted to ensure fairness, consistency, and academic excellence.
Average Review Time
The average peer review cycle ranges between 2 to 6 weeks, depending on manuscript complexity and reviewer availability.
