Peer Review Process

International Journal of Social Sciences, Language and Linguistics (IJSSLL)

The International Journal of Social Sciences, Language and Linguistics (IJSSLL) is committed to upholding the highest standards of academic rigor, integrity, and scholarly quality. To ensure the publication of credible and impactful research, IJSSLL employs a rigorous double-blinded peer review process. This means that the identities of both authors and reviewers remain confidential throughout the review process to minimize bias and ensure impartial evaluation.
Overview of the Double-Blinded Peer Review Process
Submission

Authors submit manuscripts electronically through the journal’s official online submission system.

During submission, authors must confirm that the manuscript is original, has not been previously published, and is not under consideration elsewhere.

Initial Editorial Assessment

Upon submission, the Editorial Office conducts a preliminary check to ensure compliance with:

The journal's scope and focus

Formatting requirements

Ethical guidelines

Manuscripts that pass the initial screening are assigned to the Editor-in-Chief or an Associate Editor for further evaluation.

Assignment of Reviewers

The assigned editor selects at least two independent reviewers with relevant subject expertise.

Reviewers are chosen based on:

        Their academic credentials

        Experience in the field

Absence of any conflict of interest with the authors or research topic

Double-Blinded Review

The review process is double-blinded:

Authors do not know the identity of the reviewers

Reviewers do not know the identity of the authors

Reviewers assess the manuscript based on:

Originality and significance of the research

Soundness of methodology

Clarity of analysis and argument

Relevance to the journal's scope

Adherence to ethical standards

Reviewers provide:

Detailed comments and suggestions for improvement

A recommendation: Accept, Minor Revision, Major Revision, or Reject

Editorial Decision

Based on the reviewers’ feedback, the Editor-in-Chief or Associate Editor makes an informed decision.

Authors are notified with:

A decision letter

Reviewer comments and editorial feedback

Revision and Resubmission

If revisions are requested:

Authors are given a specified timeframe to revise and resubmit the manuscript.

The revised version is re-evaluated to ensure that all comments and concerns have been adequately addressed.

Final Decision

The final decision is made by the Editor-in-Chief or Associate Editor after assessing the revised manuscript and the authors’ responses.

Once accepted, the manuscript proceeds to production and publication, and authors are notified accordingly.

The double-blinded peer review process employed by IJSSLL ensures that each manuscript is evaluated fairly, professionally, and without bias, maintaining the journal’s commitment to excellence in the social sciences, language, and linguistics disciplines.
