Author Guidelines

International Journal of Social Sciences, Language and Linguistics (IJSSLL)

Manuscript Submission

Authors are encouraged to submit their manuscripts via the IJSSLL Online Submission System available on the journal's official website. Manuscripts should be submitted in Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx) format. Each submission must include a cover letter outlining the significance, originality, and relevance of the research.

Article Types

We accept the following types of submissions:

  1. Original Research Articles: Comprehensive research studies presenting novel findings (3,000–7,000 words).
  2. Review Articles: Critical and in-depth reviews of specific topics (4,000–6,000 words).
  3. Case Reports: Detailed reports of unique cases in social sciences or language (2,000–3,000 words).
  4. Short Communications: Brief reports of preliminary or concise research findings (1,000–2,000 words).
  5. Letters to the Editor: Constructive commentary or critique on previously published work (500–1,500 words).

Manuscript Preparation

General Formatting

  • Language: English (U.S. spelling)
  • Font: Times New Roman, 12 pt
  • Line Spacing:5
  • Margins: 1 inch (2.54 cm) on all sides
  • File Type: Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx)
  • Figures & Tables: Embedded, numbered sequentially (e.g., Table 1, Figure 1), with minimum 300 dpi resolution
  • Abbreviations: Define at first mention

Manuscript Structure

  1. Title Page: Include title (max 20 words), all authors’ full names, institutional affiliations, corresponding author’s contact details, and funding acknowledgements.
  2. Abstract: Structured abstract (200–300 words) covering: Background, Objectives, Methods, Results, and Conclusions.
  3. Keywords: 4–6 relevant keywords for indexing purposes.
  4. Introduction: Clear statement of background, objectives, and study significance.
  5. Materials and Methods: Detailed description to allow replication.
  6. Results: Clear presentation of findings with tables and figures as needed.
  7. Discussion: Interpretation of results, limitations, and relevance to existing literature.
  8. Conclusion: Key outcomes and contribution to the field.
  9. Acknowledgments: Recognition of non-author contributors and funding bodies.
  10. References: APA 7th Edition style; ensure all references are cited in the text.

Ethical Considerations

IJSSLL follows strict ethical publishing standards. Authors must comply with the following:

  • Informed Consent: Required for research involving human subjects.
  • Ethical Approval: All studies involving human/animal participants must have ethics committee approval.
  • Conflict of Interest: Declare any potential conflicts of interest.

Plagiarism Policy

All manuscripts undergo plagiarism screening. Manuscripts containing plagiarized content will be rejected without review.

Review Process

IJSSLL employs a double-blind peer review process:

  1. Initial screening by the editorial team for relevance and quality.
  2. Peer review by at least two subject experts.
  3. Feedback to authors typically within 4–6 weeks.
  4. Final decisions (accept, revise, reject) are made by the Editor-in-Chief.

Copyright and Licensing

Upon acceptance, authors sign a Copyright Transfer Agreement. Articles are published under Creative Commons Attribution License (CC BY 4.0), allowing distribution and reuse with proper citation.

Article Processing Charges (APC)

  • APC: USD 100 (payable upon acceptance).
  • Submission fees:
  • Authors from low-income countries may apply for waivers.

Manuscript Withdrawal

Withdrawal after acceptance is allowed only under exceptional circumstances with the Editor-in-Chief’s approval.
