Author Guidelines
Manuscript Submission
Authors are encouraged to submit their manuscripts through the IJAM Online Submission System available on the journal’s official website. Manuscripts must be submitted in Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx) format. Each submission should include a cover letter explaining the originality, significance, and contribution of the research to the field of applied mathematics.

Article Types
We accept the following categories of manuscripts:
Original Research Articles
Comprehensive studies presenting new mathematical theories, models, computational methods, or applications.
Word Limit: 3,000–8,000 words
Review Articles
Critical reviews summarizing recent developments in applied mathematics and related interdisciplinary areas.
Word Limit: 4,000–7,000 words
Case Studies / Applications
Practical applications of mathematical methods in engineering, physics, economics, data science, or other fields.
Word Limit: 2,000–4,000 words
Short Communications
Brief reports of innovative mathematical findings or preliminary research results.
Word Limit: 1,000–2,500 words
Letters to the Editor
Comments, critiques, or discussions related to previously published articles.
Word Limit: 500–1,500 words
Manuscript Preparation
General Formatting
- Language: English (U.S. spelling)
- Font: Times New Roman, 12 pt
- Line Spacing: 1.5
- Margins: 1 inch (2.54 cm) on all sides
- File Type: Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx)
- Equations: Must be editable and prepared using Equation Editor or MathType
- Figures & Tables: Embedded within the manuscript, numbered sequentially (e.g., Table 1, Figure 1), minimum 300 dpi resolution
- Units: Use SI units throughout the manuscript
- Abbreviations: Define at first mention
Manuscript Structure
Title Page
Include:
- Full manuscript title (maximum 20 words)
- Authors’ full names
- Institutional affiliations
- Corresponding author’s email and contact details
- ORCID IDs (optional)
- Funding acknowledgements
Abstract
Structured abstract of 200–300 words including:
- Background
- Objectives
- Methods
- Results
- Conclusions
Keywords
Provide 4–6 keywords relevant to the study.
Introduction
Clearly describe the research background, problem statement, objectives, and significance of the study.
Materials and Methods / Methodology
Provide sufficient mathematical formulations, algorithms, models, datasets, and computational procedures to allow reproducibility.
Results
Present findings clearly using equations, tables, graphs, and figures where appropriate.
Discussion
Interpret results, compare with existing literature, discuss limitations, and explain practical implications.
Conclusion
Summarize key findings and contributions of the study.
Acknowledgments
Recognize contributors, institutions, and funding agencies.
References
References must follow APA 7th Edition style. Ensure all references cited in the text are included in the reference list.
Ethical Considerations
IJAM follows strict publication ethics standards.
Authors must ensure:
- Submitted work is original and unpublished.
- Proper citation of all sources and mathematical derivations.
- Disclosure of any conflicts of interest.
- Permission for copyrighted materials when applicable.
Plagiarism Policy
All submissions undergo plagiarism screening using professional plagiarism detection software. Manuscripts containing plagiarized or improperly cited material will be rejected immediately.
Review Process
IJAM follows a double-blind peer review process:
- Initial editorial screening for scope, quality, and formatting.
- Review by at least two independent experts.
- Authors receive reviewer comments typically within 4–6 weeks.
- Final decisions (acceptance, revision, or rejection) are made by the Editor-in-Chief.
Copyright and Licensing
Upon acceptance, authors must sign a Copyright Transfer Agreement.
Published articles are distributed under the Creative Commons Attribution License (CC BY 4.0), permitting sharing and reuse with proper citation.
Article Processing Charges (APC)
- APC: USD 106 (payable after acceptance)
- Submission Fee: None
- Authors from low-income countries may request APC waivers or discounts.
Manuscript Withdrawal
Withdrawal requests after acceptance will only be considered under exceptional circumstances and require approval from the Editor-in-Chief.
