The International Journal of Statistics (IJS) is a self-funded, open-access journal committed to the free and wide dissemination of high-quality scholarly research. To maintain rigorous publishing standards and ensure global accessibility, the journal does not receive funding from any government or institution. The Article Processing Fee (APF) is essential to cover operational costs, including:

  • Website hosting and maintenance
  • Digital Object Identifier (DOI) assignment
  • Plagiarism screening
  • Typesetting and formatting
  • Editorial management systems
  • Digital archiving

Article Processing Fee (APF)

Upon acceptance of a manuscript for publication in IJS, authors are required to pay the following APF to support the editorial process, peer review, and final production of the article.

Fee Structure:

  • International Authors: $160 per accepted manuscript (Fees Updated on Jan 2026).

Note: Special issues or requests for accelerated peer review may be subject to additional charges. Authors will be informed prior to acceptance if any such fees apply.

Payment Schedule

  • The APF must be paid within 1–2 days of receiving the acceptance notification.
  • Failure to make payment within the given timeframe may result in publication delays or manuscript withdrawal.

  • Western Union
  • Wise (formerly TransferWise)

Discounts and Waivers

IJS supports equitable access to publication opportunities and offers partial waivers and discounts to authors from developing countries or those with demonstrated financial need.

Eligibility for Waivers:

  • Authors residing in low-income countries (as defined by the World Bank)
  • Students currently enrolled at accredited academic institutions (with proof of status)

Application Process:

  • Waiver requests must be submitted at the time of manuscript submission.
  • Authors should email a formal request with relevant supporting documents (e.g., student ID, affiliation certificate, country of residence).
  • Requests submitted after acceptance will not be considered.

Refund Policy

  • Once a manuscript is accepted for publication, the APF becomes non-refundable.
  • The corresponding author assumes responsibility for the full payment.
  • IJS does not offer refunds under any circumstances, including author withdrawal after payment.
